Course Description
In 2024, the landscape of immigration compliance is changing fast—are you ready?
Failure to stay up-to-date could leave your organization exposed to costly fines, legal troubles, and increased risk during audits.
Is Your Company Fully Prepared for I-9 Audits?
With evolving Federal regulations, it’s crucial to ensure your organization complies with immigration laws and avoids potential violations. The stakes are high, and even unintentional mistakes can lead to penalties that affect your bottom line.
Understanding the I-9 & Immigration Reform Act
Since the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986, every U.S. employer has been required to complete a Form I-9 for each employee, verifying their eligibility to work in the U.S. But with new rules on the horizon in 2024, employers must go beyond the basics to ensure they’re audit-ready and compliant.
Knowingly hiring unauthorized workers is a Federal violation that can result in severe penalties. Now more than ever, compliance is not just a legal obligation—it’s a strategic necessity.
The Role of Form I-9
The I-9 form is a critical part of your compliance toolkit. This training will show you how to maintain I-9 records properly and prepare for inspections by government agencies such as the Department of Homeland Security and Department of Labor.
